CAPITAL PROJECT SUPPORT

Dimensional Control Surveys indeed play a crucial role in capital projects, particularly in construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

Often referred to as "cheap insurance," these surveys help insure that structures and systems are built to the correct specifications, reducing the likelihood of costly mistakes and rework later in the project lifecycle.

Here are some key points explaining why dimensional control surveys are considered cost effective insurance:

MODULE CONSTRUCTION

Shores MDS offers a comprehensive solution for ensuring that modules are fabricated accurately and efficiently before shipment, utilizing state-of-the-art technology, including total stations. Our approach emphasizes quality assurance and dimensional accuracy throughout the entire fabrication process.

Key Features of Our Module Construction Solution:

Enhancing Fabrication Quality Control

In the realm of fabrication quality control, particularly for pipe spools, the pre-project execution phase is critical yet frequently overlooked. Traditionally, once the design process reaches its final stages, pressing the print button generates a sense of completion. However, the accuracy of the fabricated components often relies heavily on a robust verification process.

TOWER ALIGNMENT / MODIFICATIONS

In today's rapidly evolving industrial landscape, many traditional dimensional control and survey companies have become obsolete due to a lack of experience with large-scale projects. At Shores MDS, we stand apart with our extensive expertise in tower alignment and modifications.

EQUIPMENT DIMENSIONAL VERIFICATION

SHORES M.D.S have been verifying equipment dimensions on vessels, exchanges, heater bundles, towers, etc. in facilities around America for the same common reason. Facility owners do not have verified as-built drawings detailing the dimensions of equipment in their units. Equipment has been re-rated or have drawings that are so old that the text cannot be read. SHORES M.D.S will perform as-found surveys of equipment and develop dimensioned drawings which will enable replacement equipment to be fabricated in-kind.

NOZZLE PLACEMENT

When positioning nozzles, few people realize that using Dimensional Control provides accurate results with minimal processing time.
