WHAT IS OUR SERVICE

SHORES M.D.S provide measure and sketch piping services. We support our customers with replacement piping that ranges from the replacement of a small section of utility piping, to replacing the overhead piping on an FCC reactor. We provide design services that range from a simple reroute of a section of pipe to running a new pipe system that runs through a unit.

“No more rework” is our aim and is one that is achieved when following our process.

WHY

Since the conception of SHORES M.D.S, we have built a reputation for delivering a quality, affordable product that provides financial savings, eliminates traditional safety hazards, improves quality, provides a consistent deliverable, and most significantly ensures success when installing the piping.

When clients are committed to safety, they look for ways to eliminate at risk behaviours. Using traditional measurement techniques utilize, climbing touching hot surfaces, removing insulation, working from heights, multiple technicians to pull tape measures ect. Utilizing the service of SHORES M.D.S eliminates these tasks

Our service provides significant cost savings through:

• No scaffold is required to obtain measurements
• Only limited insulation removal is required
• Elimination of field welds

Our service will cost less than the cost of building a scaffold.

Unlike a number of design houses, even though a project has been laser scanned, we do not put “field to verify” on our isometrics. We are your field verifiers.

HOW

Utilizing a Leica robotic total station and automet™ software, our system captures only the data that is required for the project.

Our single person operation uses a survey prism or the survey instruments reflectorless capability to capture the data. Prior to leaving the site, the MDS technician can have a 3D model built of the piping that is to be replaced.

Once the data is processed, isometrics are generated and sent to our clients for fabrication.
